Housing and soleplate

► Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning it! Risk of Burns!

Attention! Appliance Damage!

► Do not use aggressive, abrasive or chemical cleaning agents. These could

damage the surfaces.

■ Clean the housing and the sole plate 9 with a damp cloth. For stubborn

soiling use a mild detergent on the cloth.

Safety switch-oﬀ

This iron is equipped with a safety switch-oﬀ :

The iron switches oﬀ automatically when...

■ ... the iron stands on its soleplate 9 for longer than 30 seconds without

being moved.

■ ... the iron lies on its side for longer than 30 seconds without being moved.

■ ... the iron stands on the appliance base 6 for longer than 8 minutes without

being moved.

6 signal tones sound prior to the automatic switch-oﬀ . During the period when the

safety switch-oﬀ is active, the control lamp "Power" 5 blinks. The iron is re-activated

once it has been moved.

Do not use the safety switch-oﬀ intentionally to take the iron out of service!

The safety switch-oﬀ is for emergencies only, should the instructions for closing

down be forgotten!
